Pine Tree Re-Pollarding and TPO Pine Pruning: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Â
We recently completed a project for a client in Macclesfield, Cheshire, involving the re-pollarding of a row of lime trees and pruning back some TPO (Tree Preservation Order) pines at their property. While it may seem like a drastic measure, this technique is very common, especially when dealing with species that have outgrown their designated space. As you can see from the images from before we did the work, the branches were overhanging the road which were a threat of damage to the residents' vehicles.
In this specific instance, the planted tree species were too large for their location, but with our knowledge we were able to fix this.
As shown in the final image, after pollarding, the tree begins to regrow from the pollard points. This process is typically repeated on a 2-3 year cycle to maintain the trees appropriately. Our experienced arborists in Cheshire are well-versed in these practices to achieve the best outcomes for your trees.
